New Delhi, August 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police personnel in a joint operation killed two Naxals in the troubled Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The Indian paramilitary CRPF and its elite unit Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) and the police in a joint operation killed the Naxals in Gompad and Kanhaiguda areas in Sukma district of the state.
Officials said that the personnel belonging to the District Reserve Guard (DRG) of Chhattisgarh police, the CRPF and its elite CoBRA unit were involved in the operation, which was launched based on the inputs about the movement of Naxals inside the forest. Blood stains found at the site indicated that many other Naxals were either injured or killed in the face-off, but their colleagues managed to take them inside the forest, they said. The forces’ personnel also arrested two Naxals identified as Pandu alias Mangu Madvi (23) and Hurra alias Korma Sodi (22) in Dantewada area of the state, the officials said.
