Lahore:Jamaat-e-Islami Deputy Emir Liaqat Baloch has said that announcement to grant provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan by the federal government ahead of general elections in the area is a pre-poll rigging.
In a statement issued from here on Tuesday, he said the decision was also a part of great game to jeopardize the Kashmir cause. However, he clarified that there must not be any hurdle to provide rights to the residents of GB equal to that being enjoyed by the people of Pakistan but the decision should be taken considering the case of Kashmir.
Baloch criticized the prime minister changing stance on the system of the government in the country, saying Imran Khan had now started idealizing the Chinese Model after deceiving masses for two years in the name of Madina-like-state. He said unity among the ranks of different schools of Islamic thoughts was a way forward to bring prosperity and peace in the country.
