During violent incidents across Karachi on Tuesday, one alleged suspect was killed and another was arrested in an injured condition in two separate encounters with the police, while two citizens were also injured in other firing incidents.
In the Sukhan area of District Malir, a suspect named Muhammad Haseeb, son of Ata Muhammad, was killed in a police encounter on Road No. 10. According to officials, his accomplices managed to escape from the scene after an exchange of fire near Purani Kamela. A pistol and bullets were recovered from the scene.
A similar incident occurred in Sector 10 of Sarjani Town, where law enforcement agencies had a confrontation with alleged suspects in Al-Ghafoor Society. After the encounter, a person named Muhammad Shoaib, son of Mubarak Ali, was arrested in an injured condition, while his accomplice managed to escape. Police also recovered a firearm from the scene.
Earlier, in the city’s District South, 22-year-old Shehbaz Khan was shot and injured for resisting a robbery. The incident took place near the driving license office in Clifton. Shehbaz Khan was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for immediate medical attention.
In another firing incident in Lyari, 24-year-old Nazir, son of Qadir, was injured by a stray bullet. The incident occurred near Eidgah Ground, after which the injured was moved to a nearby hospital and police have started an investigation into the matter.
