The KSE100 index jumped by 960.33 points to close at 119,931.46, reflecting a 0.81% rise. The KSE30 index also saw a significant increase, climbing 313.46 points to end the day at 36,596.85, up 0.86%.
Market turnover showed a substantial boost with 667,685,585 shares changing hands in the regular market, a notable increase from the previous 437,920,561. The traded value surged to 26,624,722,330 from 20,811,079,108. Market capitalization also rose, reaching 14,454,242,554,976 from 14,331,727,408,625.
In the futures market, turnover increased to 140,219,500 shares compared to 108,614,500 previously, while the traded value escalated to 6,816,763,495 from 5,521,957,785.
The upward trend was observed as the indices hit highs of 36,641.76 for KSE30 and 120,106.21 for KSE100 during the session, before settling slightly lower.
