Mysterious blast injures 28 students at Pulwama School

Srinagar, February 13, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, at least 28 students were wounded in a mysterious blast at a school in Kakapora area of Pulwama district on Wednesday. The blast took place inside a private school in Narbal area of Kakapora where the students were getting winter tuitions.

The Medical Officer of a local hospital, Dr Wahid told media that fourteen students with splinter injuries were brought to the facility for treatment. “Three were referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment,” he said, adding that the students had received injuries mostly in their limbs. Three more injured were shifted to district hospital Pulwama. The incident triggered clashes between civilian protesters and Indian forces. The forces fired bullets and teargas shells on the protesters.
