Gilgit, November 01, 2019 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that no force can stop the people of Kashmir from getting freedom from the cruel clutches of India. Imran Khan addressing Azadi Parade on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day of Gilgit-Baltistan, in Gilgit, today, said that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had played his last card by revoking the special status of the occupied territory on August 5.
He said that the oppressive regime of Modi had imposed a cruel lockdown in occupied Kashmir and millions of people had been confined to their homes by nine hundred thousand Indian troops. He said India will see the spirit and more resolve of the Kashmiri people for freedom once it lifts the military siege in the Valley.
Imran Khan said, Pakistanis stand by Kashmiri brethren. He said, he is the ambassador and spokesman of the Kashmiri people and will plead their case at every forum. Paying tributes to the valiant freedom struggle of the people of Gilgit against Dogra regime, the Prime Minister noted that if they had not fought that war they too probably would have been facing the oppression of Modi regime today.
Earlier, in his welcome address Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan, Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon thanked Prime Minister for visiting Gilgit on the occasion of its Independence Day. Chief Minister, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman on the occasion said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan would render every kind of sacrifice for the defence of their motherland. He also reiterated GB people’s support to Kashmiris.
