Islamabad, February 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a prayers session in Islamabad, today, for prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Afzal Guru, on his martyrdom anniversary. India had hanged Muhammad Afzal Guru in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on 9th February in 2013 and his body remains buried in the premises of the jail.

The Hurriyat leaders on the occasion, paying tributes to the martyrs, reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the liberation struggle till complete success. They deplored that India has, so far, not handed over the mortal remains of Shaheed Afzal Guru and Shaheed Maqbool Butt to their families and demanded of the international community to put pressure on India to shift their mortal remains to Kashmir.

At the end, prayers were offered for Muhammad Afzal Guru and other Kashmiri martyrs. The Convener of APHC-AJK chapter, Syed Abdullah Gilani, presided over the prayers session while Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Muhammad Rafique Dar, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Mir Tahir Masood, Haji Sultan Butt, Shamim Shawl, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Nisar Mirza, Saleem Haroon, Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Imtiaz Wani, Zahid Ashraf, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Mushtaq Butt, Adeel Mushtaq Wani, Javed Jehangir, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Syed Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, Muhammad Shafi Dar participated attended it.
