Minister of State for Finance and Railways, Bilal Azhar Kayani, today reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to forging a comprehensive and long-term partnership with Thailand, targeting enhanced cooperation in critical sectors including defense, security, trade, and investment.

Speaking at a reception celebrating Thailand”s National Day, the minister conveyed official congratulations to the Thai government and people, expressing satisfaction with the existing excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

Kayani described the foundation of the relationship as being “founded on the principles of mutual trust, cooperation, and shared objectives for global peace and development,” while stressing the importance of expanding collaboration into fields such as education, culture, and tourism.

The Minister of State also lauded the close coordination between the two nations within multilateral forums. He emphasized the significance of this alliance in tackling pressing global issues, including climate change, food insecurity, economic matters, and regional security affairs.

In his concluding remarks, Kayani acknowledged the significant contributions of Ambassador Rongvudhi Virabutr, appreciating his services in improving the diplomatic and friendly relations between Pakistan and Thailand.
