Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry engaged in talks with three senior U.S. Congressmen at the U.S. Embassy, focusing on leveraging Pakistan’s trade potential and the recent U.S. tariff pause introduced by President Trump.

Chaudhry emphasized that the suspension of tariffs presents an opportunity to enhance bilateral trade, suggesting it positions Pakistan as a competitive partner, particularly in mining, technology, and renewable energy sectors.

During the discussions, the importance of Pakistan’s economic reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment through transparent governance was highlighted.

The U.S. Congressmen noted Pakistan’s mineral resources and their significance in diversifying global supply chains. Both parties agreed to further technical collaboration, security cooperation, and frameworks for sustainable development.

The meeting concluded with the decision to establish joint working groups dedicated to streamlining partnerships across various sectors.
