The pen-down strike of government employees in Mirpurkhas continues as part of a province-wide protest across Sindh, causing difficulties for the public. This strike has been called by the Sindh Employees Alliance to protest the non-fulfillment of the demands of government employees.

The Divisional President of Sindh Employees Union Gusta and Coordinator of the Employees Alliance, Azam Hazarvi, announced the setup of a four-hour hunger strike camp in front of the Press Club on the 29th and 30th. He also stated that demonstrations will continue on a daily basis, and employees from various divisions are preparing to stage a sit-in in front of Bilawal House in Karachi on the 6th.

The situation at the District Headquarters Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas is concerning as doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff have closed the OPD and held a protest rally. Similarly, workers of the Municipal Corporation, under the leadership of Mazhar Abbasi and Abid Shah, are continuing their protest under a lockout strategy.

All provincial departments in the district are affected by the protest, where lockouts have been implemented by the unions, causing official affairs to be completely suspended.
