President Asif Ali Zardari, currently on a four-day official visit to Iraq, offered prayers for peace, unity, and harmony throughout the Muslim Ummah during a pilgrimage to holy sites in Najaf and Kufa.
In the city of Najaf, the President paid his respects at the holy shrine of Hazrat Ali, Razi Allah-o-Talaa Anho, where he also offered fateha, according to an official information on Tuesday.
His devotional tour extended to Kufa, where he offered Nawafil at the historic Masjid-e-Kufa and visited the residence attributed to Hazrat Ali Razi Allah-o-Talaa Anho.
During his engagements, President Zardari met with administrators and scholars in both Najaf and Kufa. These meetings were also attended by the Governor of Najaf and other senior Iraqi authorities.
