In a dramatic crackdown against illegal activities, a police operation led by SHO Satellite Town, Inspector Haq Nawaz Junejo, resulted in the arrest of a key suspect at a gambling den in Bhansinghabad, Street No. 1. Acting on the directives of SSP Dr. Sameer Noor Channa, the law enforcement team, which also included female officers, conducted a successful raid and arrested the ringleader, identified as Zohaib Khan alias Bohi.
During the operation, various items were recovered, including one tablet, one iTel touch mobile, two Vivo touch mobile phones, and Rs 4,300 in cash. An FIR has been registered against the arrested individual under Crime No. 121, Section 5/A of the Gambling Act. Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to uncover further details.
Despite the success of the raid, sources have revealed a discrepancy in the number of arrests, with three suspects initially reported. However, the police have officially acknowledged only one arrest. Allegations have surfaced that two suspects were spared from legal action due to the intervention of influential figures associated with the gambling den.
Local residents have expressed concerns over the transparency of the operation, claiming that a larger sum of money was seized but not officially reported by the police. The incident has sparked a debate about the accountability and integrity of the law enforcement framework in the area.
