In a significant move to prioritize the concerns of citizens, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, has announced that addressing public grievances is now the foremost priority for the police force.
In an open court session held at his office, DIG Tariq issued immediate directives to ensure that citizens” complaints are resolved promptly. This initiative forms part of a broader directive from IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has mandated senior police officers to conduct similar open courts throughout the district.
The DIG highlighted that citizens could also lodge their complaints via the “IGP Complaint Cell 1715.” He reiterated the commitment of the Islamabad Police to effectively engage with the community and address their issues.
Zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs) are actively organizing these open forums in their respective areas to facilitate direct communication with the public. The Islamabad Police”s dedication to resolving citizens” issues underscores their commitment to maintaining trust and ensuring community welfare.
