On Monday, gold prices saw a significant drop, the price of one tola of 24 karat gold decreased by 300 rupees to 358,165 rupees. The price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also closed down by 257 rupees to 307,068 rupees. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold decreased by 235 rupees and closed at 281,489 rupees. This downward trend reflects the global gold market, where the price of the precious metal decreased by $3 to $3,366 per ounce.
Contrary to the decline in the gold market, silver prices saw an upward trend. The price of one tola (24 karat) of silver increased by 14 rupees to 3,799 rupees. The price of ten grams of 24 karat silver also increased by 12 rupees and closed at 3,257 rupees. International silver markets also followed this trend, with the per ounce price increasing by $0.14 to $36.15. These figures are according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Jewelers Association.
