Stock Market – KSE Indices Edge Up Slightly Amid Lower Turnover

Both the KSE-100 and the KSE-30 indices registered modest gains today, despite a decrease in market activity.

The KSE-100 index mirrored this performance, rising by 0.25% to reach 157,945.03, compared to the previous 157,554.66 while the KSE-30 index closed at 48,152.17, a 0.25% increase from the previous day’s close of 48,034.04.

Trading volume on the regular market saw a noticeable decline, with 1,521,517,383 shares traded compared to 1,665,972,171 shares the previous day. This drop in activity was reflected in the traded value, which decreased to 58,725,407,892 from 60,902,648,676. Market capitalization, however, experienced a slight uptick, reaching 18,632,468,072,866 compared to the previous 18,562,266,088,076.

In the futures market, turnover increased slightly to 473,929,000 shares from 463,633,000. The traded value in the futures market also experienced a growth, rising to 33,764,394,130 from 33,247,263,820.
