Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori today emphasized that providing equal opportunities in education, health, and employment are the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities, calling for a unified effort from both the state and society to protect these entitlements.

In a message released on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the governor described the occasion as a reaffirmation of the commitment to safeguard the interests of individuals with special needs.

He asserted that persons with disabilities merit distinct attention and cooperation, underscoring that the protection of their rights is a collective obligation shared by governmental authorities and the wider community.

Governor Tesori stated it is the duty of every individual to help foster an environment where persons with disabilities can live as dignified citizens.

He urged government bodies and various institutions to establish effective facilities to support this segment of the population.

The governor concluded by noting that the teachings of Islam advocate for the welfare and respect of persons with disabilities, suggesting that focused guidance and special consideration can bring about a significant positive transformation in their lives.
