Larkana: The incidents of thefts, street crimes, looting, burglaries and bike snatching have increased manifold in Larkana and the police led by known SSP Masood Bangash have failed to eliminate criminals and curb the crimes and arrest criminals despite tall claims made by him on a regular basis. The residents have been looted of millions of rupees and their valuables in the last 24 hours.
On Sunday three such incidents were reported. The roof of rice trader Ghulam Shabir Bhangar’s office was broken in the wee hours which is located within the limits of Sachal police station, the criminals broke locks of lockers, looted millions of rupees kept in there and fled with cheque books and important documents. The office is located just opposite the police training school. Bhangar said that the police were informed timely but they have done nothing as yet to recover or to arrest the accused.
In yet another incident, the house of advocate Riaz Hussain Kanasro was openly looted by four unknown armed men in Zulfiqar Bagh located within the limits of Hyderi police station. The criminals tortured the family members and made them captive at the very outset. Then they looted 15 tola gold, three million rupees cash and other valuables and escaped without fear of law. Kanasro said that he immediately informed 15 and concerned police station and lodged a report as well but nothing has been done.
In the third incident which occurred an hour before within the limits of Dari police station, shopkeeper Ashok Kumar was openly looted by two armed men during the day time when he was going home after closing his shop. He told this Scribe that he has been deprived of over two lac rupees, mobile phones and other valuables. He said he immediately rushed to the cops but they did nothing and were laughing when I narrated the incident before them.
The affected peaceful citizens have urged the relevant higher government authorities to take strong notice of the crime which is constantly surging in the home district of Larkana. The residents have also wondered that when the provincial government despite having all resources is unable to maintain peace in their leader’s district how can they bring tranquility in rest of the province. They also urged for recovery of all looted material, cash and exemplary punishment to the accused along with their elimination.
