Turkiye to continue its support to Kashmiris’ freedom struggle

Ankara, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): Chairman of Turkiye-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship and Advisor to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ali Shaheen has said that Turkiye will stand with the people of Jammu and Kashmir until they achieve their goal of freedom from Indian illegal occupation. Ali Shaheen expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Kashmiri leaders that called on him in Ankara. He said the Turkish President has highlighted the Kashmir dispute in every international forum and has insisted on its immediate solution. He said that the entire Turkish nation considers it a moral and human duty to support the people of Kashmir in their rightful struggle.

The head of the Kashmiri delegation, Abdul Rasheed Tarabi, told the participants about the latest situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Indian nefarious designs to change the demography of the territory. He thanked the Turkish government and people for their continuous support to the Kashmir cause. The delegation members said that the OIC and the international community need to play an effective role in stopping the genocide of Kashmiris by India. They expressed solidarity with the earthquake victims in Turkey and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. They said every Kashmiri and Pakistani wants to contribute to the rehabilitation of victims in the same way as the people of Turkiye have helped us in every hour of trial.

Ali Shaheen said the whole Ummah and humanity in this hour of sorrow came to help Turkiye, but the role of the people and the government of Pakistan is historic. He said the work of Al-Khidmat Foundation was also commendable and we thank our benefactors. He said that the sentiments and message of the delegation will be conveyed to President Erdogan. The delegation included Pakistan-Turkey Solidarity Forum Chairman Dr Nadeem, Hurriyat leader Aijaz Rehmani and Tehreek-e-Kashmir-Turkey convener Sheikh Talha.
