KARACHI:United Hawks overpowered Rex XI by eight wickets and confirmed its place in the second edition of Corporate T-20 League Cricket Tournament.
Rex XI batted first in the match and put on board 113 runs before losing all of its wickets in 19 overs. Hyder Ali top scored for the side with 26 runs. Hawks United’s Haider picked four wickets cheaply for 13 runs while Muhammad Talha took three for 15.
In response, United Hawks easily achieved the target in 14.3 overs with eight wickets in hand. Arman batted well for the side and scored unbeaten 39 runs.
Meanwhile, other teams who made it to semifinals are Karachi Strikers, C-Square Pythons and Rangoonwala Cricket Club.
In another match, Rangoonwala defeated C-Square Pythons by nine wickets. Ejaz Ahmed and Rizwan Jadoon bowled well for the winners in the match picking four wickets each.
