Waza visits Pulwama youth at Srinagar hospital

Srinagar, February 06, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, along with a party delegation visited SMHS hospital in Srinagar and inquired about the health condition of a youth who was subjected to ruthless torture by Indian troops at an army camp in Shadimarg area of Pulwama district.

The youth, Tawseef Ahmed Wani, a resident of Achagoza area of Pulwama, was summoned to the camp by the army where he was subjected to severe torture by the troops.

Others who were part of the delegation included Nisar Ahmed Rathar, Jafar Kashmiri, Fayaz Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed and Shabbir Ahmed. On the Occasion, the family members of Tawseef Ahmed Wani told Mukhtar Waza that Tawseef was summoned by the army Major, Shukla to Shadimarg camp. He was thrashed inside the camp and asked by the troops to pose with a gun or be ready to face the consequences, they added.

Mukhtar Waza on the occasion said, “We have read in history about the heinous crimes of Changez and Halako, but the repression and oppression of Kashmiri people at the hands of Indian forces have failed to find any parallel.” He demanded a probe into incident to punish the involved troops.
