SHIKARPUR: An old woman was killed after being hit by a speeding car on Sukkur-Shikarpur section of National Highway near Dost Wah within the jurisdiction of Lakhi Police Station on Monday. According to a report, a fast-moving car hit unidentified old woman while trying to cross the road.
As a result, the old woman was seriously injured. She was shifted to Taluka Hospital Lakhi where she succumbed to her injuries. Her body was lying at THQ Lakhi as she could not be identified till filing this news. Separately, a minor boy was electrocuted in village Ali Muhammad Bhutto near Lakhi area of Shikarpur on Monday.
According to a report, the minor boy identified as Sanaullah, aged eight, son of Sikandar Brohi, received electric shocks from a live electric wire in his village Ali Muhammad Brohi near Lakhi. As a result, he died on the spot. His body was handed over to his heirs after completing medico-legal formalities at Taluka Hospital Lakhi. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the locality.
