KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while paying tribute topolice’s martyrs in all ranks, said that they had laid their lives for peace in the country.
“Their role in maintaining law and order, tranquility and eradicating menace of terrorism is in history,” he said that peace that has now prevailed in streets and all zones is due to the sacrifices of the police’s martyrs,” he said. The PPP chairman said that the nation owes to the police’s martyrs and won’t leave their families alone. Police’s contribution towards maintaining law and order and fighting against the terrorism is remarkable and they deserve due appreciation and applause, he added.
He said that whenever PPP had its government in the country, it greatly encouraged and facilitated the police force. The previous government of the PPP had raised the amounts of compensations to the aggrieved families. Bilawal said that the next government of the PPP would still keep working for modernising the police force in Sindh.
