He said incinerator had been made functional and new machine for Shaikh Zayed Hospital for Women had been demanded. He said samples of underground water of all four blocks of the CMCH had turned out to be arsenic as per tests and the subsoil water contains over 1000 TDR which otherwise should be 400 for normal water. He further claimed all medicines and tests are free of cost, indoor patients are supplied 100% medicines and they don’t have to procure drugs from outside. Insiders said that cleanliness of Emergency Department has been given on contract costing Rs 350,000 per month. The contractor, who is near & dear one of the bosses, is only managing it as all sanitary workers and sanitation material is of the CMCH. Cleanliness and other issues of other blocks still remain unresolved and no significant improvement has so far been achieved.
