Badin:A ‘Down Syndrome child caravan’ reached here on Tuesday and was warmly welcomed by citizens.
As per details, the ‘Down Syndrome child caravan’ led by Jalal Akbar Dar of Al-Jalal Welfare Trust on the 91th day of its journey reached here. It was received by Assistant commissioner Rao Bilal and a large number of citizens. The caravan participants swept and cleaned main streets of Badin as a token of goodwill.
Later, talking to media in Badin Press Club, Jalal Akbar said the caravan will visit 130 districts of Pakistan. Its message is that the children suffering from the Down syndrome should be termed as special persons and given special facilities. He said so far we have visited 91 districts. He said they have already set up a big education and training institute for students having Down syndrome at Jhelum where all facilities are available.
