KARACHI:Jinnah Sindh Medical University and National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in collaboration with Nixor College organised a heart awareness walk at Seaview beach to sensitize the public about cardiovascular diseases and taking the preventive measures to avoid heart problems.
The public awareness walk was led by Renowned American Cardiologist Dr Javed Suleman along with Director National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Prof Dr Nadeem Qamar, Dr Zahid Jamal, Vice Chancellor Jinnah Sindh Medical University Prof Dr Tariq Rafi, Pro-Vice Chancellor JSMU Dr Lubna Baig and senior faculty members.
On this occasion, Cardiologist Dr Javed Suleman said adopting preventive measures after developing heart problems has a great significance. He further said 15 minutes daily walk can minimize risk of stroke and cardiovascular diseases.
Vice Chancellor, JSMU, Prof Dr Tariq Rafi said university will provide all possible support to generate awareness about cardiovascular diseases in general public.
A large number of JSMU students participated in the heart awareness walk.
