Islamabad: Second Suresh Darrshan of Malaysia annexed the Boys Singles title by beating qualifier Cheng Wei-Chen (TPE) in a thrilling three straight set in the Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships here at Islamabad.
Cheng Wei Chen won the first set at 6-3 by breaking 7th game of Suresh Darrshan by playing very consisting game from the base line.
In the second set Suresh change the pace of game and build up the winning lead by breaking 1st game of Wei Chen Chang. Suresh won the second set at 7-5 by breaking last game of Wei Chen Change.
In the final set Suresh was in full command and did not allow his opponent to settle down through out the match with his powerful forehand drives and excellent volley at the crucial stage and won the final set by breaking 1st, 3rd and 6th game at the score of 6-1 and clinch the Boy’s Singles title of Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan.
The Boy’s Final was shifted to indoor court located at Nasir Jaffer Farm House due to the heavy rain in Islamabad. The match lasted 2 hrs 30 minutes.
20 players from 10 countries USA, Great Britain, Canada, Hungary, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Turkey participated in the Championships.
The tournament was named in the name of Syed Tajammul Abbas who was the elder brother of Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, his last positing as Commissioner was in Sargodha Division and was keen players of tennis and organize number of tennis tournament in Sargodha, he was got Shahadat while playing tennis in Sargodha officer club on 5th August 1996, May Allah Rest his Soul in peace in Heaven.

In Boy’s Doubles Mathew Yee (HKG) & Mohammad Nouman Aftab (PAK) grabbed the Boy’s Double title by beating Rattanan Siritaworchar (THA) & Suresh Darrshan (MAS) in straight set 6-3, 6-1.

Mohammad Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, President Pakistan Hockey Federation and Patron Pakistan Tennis Federation grace the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed the prizes among the winner and runner-up. Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas Hon.
