LARKANA: Four brothers, residents of Khalique Colony located near Baqrani Tower, addressed a press conference at local press club on Saturday, alleging the unprecedented lawlessness in Larkana has ruined their lives for the past several months. They said criminals cross all police pickets, commit crimes in the city and flee crossing the same police pickets without fear of law which is unbelievable.
Wajid Ali Khokhar, his brothers, Ghulam Abbas, Ayaz and Munwar further alleged that a bike was looted from Munwar last night from the same area by an armed gang and the same accused stole another motorcycle sometime ago which was parked outside our home.
They said they held a protest demonstration, burnt tyres and staged a sit-in last night at Bakrani Tower, gave names of identified thieves to the SHO after which SSP Imran Qureshi, DSP Imam Bux Mithani and SHO Allahabad police station Fida Bhatti assured us that bike will be recovered and accused will be brought to justice but nothing has been done as yet which is unjust.
They urged higher Sindh Government authorities to take notice of increased incidents of crimes in the entire Larkana district, arrest criminals who have crippled lives of peaceful citizens, recover stolen goods and dispense justice or else massive protests will be held across Larkana for maintaining peace in the district.
Meanwhile, Ratodero police claimed to have arrested an alleged criminal Qalander Bux son of Muhammad Bux Lashari in an injured condition after a brief encounter. He was shifted to the CMCH Emergency Department for treatment and further management where the accused told newsmen that he was arrested 15 days ago by Ratodero police. He alleged the police demanded huge money for his release which I could not pay hence they injured me in Badah area in a fake encounter. He demanded a high-level inquiry.
