Karachi:Relief activities in Tharparkar are in full swing as the government is taking serious steps to solve the problems of drought-hit people, says an official report.
As per the report, 463 children ageing from day 1 to 5 years were brought to Out-Patient Services (OPD) in the district and taluka hospitals of Tharparkar district.
Moreover, 41 children were admitted in the hospitals and 36 children were discharged from the hospital after their treatment.
13 animals were treated in animal hospitals and 11179 were vaccinated.
As many as 7827 families were provided wheat under Phase –III. Moreover, 688 families of Phase –II were given 50 Kg wheat bags each.
03 families who had not collected wheat bags in Phase-I also approached their respective sentinel points and collected wheat bags. Overall, 247066 families in Phase –I, 250290 families in Phase-II and 27514 families in Phase-III received wheat bags.
140 family ration bags to pregnant and lactating women were distributed in the second phase. So far, 62976 bags have been distributed in Phase-II and 36656 bags stand already distributed in Phase-I.
