KARACHI:The training of 90 healthcare establishments’ representatives, under Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC), will be conducted in Karachi next week to improve service delivery standards in health facilities.
SHCC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Minhaj Qidwai informed that this training is a part of improving service delivery standards across the Sindh province. He further informed that clinical governance experts had trained 108 representatives of healthcare establishments in the first phase while second phase would start next week.
He said Anti-Quackery Directorate had sealed 85 clinics in five districts of Sindh which include Jacobabad, Mirpurkhas, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan and Badin while hearing was conducted for requests towards de-sealing. So far, 24 cases came for the hearing of sealed clinics and they were asked to comply with the formalities as per rules.
The SHCC had received 64 new applications from healthcare establishments for registration out of which 40 were issued certificates. The SHCC team had also paid visit to National Medical Centre Karachi on their application for provisional licensing and inspection of other health facilities are also underway for issuance of provisional licenses.
The Complaints Directorate SHCC had received three more complaints against hospitals and hearing two cases already done.
