KARACHI:Sindh Health Department Tuesday confirmed 141 new coronavirus cases in Sindh province in last 24 hours, taking the reported cases toll to 676 in the province so far.
Media Coordinator to Health Minister Meeran Yousuf told PPI that a total of 676 coronavirus patients had been reported from the Sindh province so far out of them 265 were from Taftan who were brought to Sukkur, 274 from Karachi, 128 from Hyderabad (Tableeghi Jamaat), seven from Iran who were brought to Larkana, on each from Dadu and Jacobabad .
She further said that 627 patients were still under treatment in Sindh while 41 had recovered from the disease. She further informed 343 cases were locally transmitted out of total 378 in the province. She said about 6,578 tests had been conducted in Sindh so far out of 676 were tested positive out of which eight died till date.
In Pakistan, a total 1,925 coronavirus cases have been reported till date out of them were from 658 in Punjab, 676 from Sindh, 221 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 154 from Baluchistan 148 from Gilgit-Baltistan, 58 from Islamabad, and six from Azad Jammu Kashmir.
A total of 25 deaths due to the coronavirus have also been recorded in the country out of which nine were in Punjab, seven in Sindh, six in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two in Gilgit-Baltistan and one in Baluchistan, according to government data.
Globally, around 792,509 have been infected from Coronavirus out of them 37,947 died so far. Around 166,918 have been recovered from the disease while 26,868 are in critical condition.
