CM expresses sorrow and grief over death three people in Khyber District

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has expressed sorrow over the death of three people when the roof of their house collapsed in Khyber District and offered condolences to their families.

 

In his condolence statement issued here, the CM expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased. Mahmood Khan also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured child in the incident.

CM KP expresses sorrow over death of Ex-Senator Usman Kakar

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has expressed sorrow over the death of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party leader and former Senator Usman Kakar and offered condolences to his family.

 

In his condolence statement issued here, the Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased. The Chief Minister also expressed condolences to the leadership and workers of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

Fair, transparent election could alter the destiny of country: Luni

QUETTA: Moulana Abdul Qadir Luni, Senior Naib Ameer, Jamait Ulema-e-Islam (Nazriyati) Pakistan said on Monday that independent Election Commission and electoral reforms were indispensable for the democracy.

 

In a statement issued, Luni said that fair and transparent election could alter the destiny of country. He said that factors of rigging in election and persons involved in rigging would have to be disclosed.

 

Luni said that unluckily no respect was being accorded to the vote of people in the country. He added that the only solution of coming out of the current crises lied in introducing effective electoral reforms in the county. He said that attention was required to be paid towards those basic issues.

 

He said that steps were required to be taken for conducting fair and transparent election in the country, adding that it was not the problem of one person or one political party rather it was in the national interest and survival of the democracy.

Reforms is essential to be introduced in prisons of province: Langove

QUETTA: Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Ziaullah Langove has said that reforms were essential to be introduced in prisons of the province.

 

These views were expressed by him during visit of Central Prison Hudda, Quetta here on Monday to hand over keys of 7 new vehicles to the authorities of Central Prison Hudda, Quetta said a statement issued. Guard of honour was presented to Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs upon his arrival. Inspector General of Prison, Usman Ghani Siddiqui gave a detailed briefing.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mir Ziaullah Langove said that 7 new vehicles had been provided to Central Prisons, Quetta to ensure life and properties of people, adding that the provision of new vehicles to the police of prisons would help improve the performance of prison’s police.

 

Langove handed over keys of new vehicles to the Superintendent of Central Prisons, Quetta. On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Home and Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Balochistan, Arshad Majeed was also present.

Levies for arrest PO

BARKHAN: Levies Force Barkhan claimed to have arrested a proclaimed offender in an operation in Barkhan area of Balochistan on Monday.

 

A levies force team, led by Dafedar Sher Jan, arrested a proclaimed offender, Abdul Sattar, son of Sahib Jan Khetran in an operation in Barkhan. The accused, wanted to levies in FIR No. 25/21 under section 302, was being investigated by Levies force.

Governor KP directs GIT to probe alleged corruption, financial embezzlement in AUP

PESHAWAR: The Governor and Chancellor KP Universities, Shah Farman on Monday directed Governor Inspection Team (GIT) to probe alleged corruption, financial embezzlement and misuse of power by Registrar Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) and sought a report for necessary action.

 

The governor took cognizance of the repeated complaints filed by Agriculture University Teachers Association (AUTAl) and Agriculture University Officers Associations (AUOFA) against Registrar of the varsity, confirmed governor house sources.

 

The two associations submitted that the registrar was allegedly involved in misuse of powers, nepotism, favoritism and financial embezzlement and causing huge loss to the one of the old and prestigious institutions of higher education in KP.

 

They maintained that the registrar was ineligible for the said post and by concealing the facts from the syndicate and misusing his power processed his case for awarding BS-20 as personal grade through selection board. The two associations requested the Governor/Chancellor to look into the matter and save the University from further devastation and financial embezzlement by the official.

Rs 371b allocated in KP budget for people orient4ed projects: Shafi Ullah

PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for Prisons, Shafi Ullah Khan Monday said it was a people-friendly budget.

 

He said steps taken in the provincial budget for the sustainable growth and people’s welfare would have a far-reaching impact on people’s life besides strengthening the economy. Talking with different delegations from his constituency here he said a hefty amount of Rs371 billion had been earmarked for the people-oriented projects in KP that would put the province on the road towards prosperity in the true sense.

 

In the provincial budget, he said special emphasis was laid upon the uplift and issues of the underprivileged areas of the province adding all the districts were given equal development prospects in the budget. The provincial budget, he said, was a good financial plan from all aspects that was endorsed and acknowledged by the other provinces.

 

He further said in the budget 2021-22 special focus was made on uplift of education, health, irrigation and other important sectors by allocating record development funds. He said the common man would feel the optimistic outcome of the provincial budget very soon adding the budget was in fact the guarantee of the sustainable provincial uplift.
