Islamabad Capital Police intensifies campaign against helmet laws and fancy number plates

To improve road safety, the Islamabad Capital Police on Monday further intensified operations against non-compliance with helmet laws and the use of non-standard or decorative number plates.

Chief Traffic Officer, Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, is personally overseeing the operations at the Faizabad checkpoint. Under his leadership, officers are working diligently to penalize violators, to promote a culture of compliance and safety among road users.

The move comes in response to growing road safety concerns and seeks to reduce the risk of accidents. The police force is not only focusing on enforcement but is also spreading awareness about the importance of complying with traffic laws for personal and public safety.

Captain Humayun emphasized the importance of these measures, stating that their ultimate goal is to save lives and reduce accidents. The ongoing operations will continue until a significant improvement in compliance is observed.

The Islamabad Capital Police appeals to the citizens to cooperate and abide by traffic laws, stressing that these efforts are in the best interest of the community.
