Bahadurabad police have today taken into custody a person accused of selling harmful prepared gutka and mawa, which is a significant action against the trade of dangerous smokeless tobacco products.
According to law enforcement officials of District East, this successful operation was conducted on a secret tip-off.
The arrested person has been identified as Ghulam Akbar son of Muhammad Jevan.
A quantity of harmful items was recovered from the accused’s possession at the time of custody.
A formal case has been registered against Akbar under the provisions of the Sindh Gutka and Mawa Act, and legal proceedings are underway.
