Notorious dacoit killed in firing by his own accomplices during a police encounter at Khairpur’s Sunheri Chowk

A notorious absconder, wanted in multiple cases of serious crimes, was allegedly killed by the firing of his own accomplices during a police encounter near Sunheri Chowk.

The incident began on Thursday when SHO Shahid Hussain Khushk of Wada Mahesar police station received a tipoff that armed men were blocking a road to rob commuters.

A police party was dispatched to the scene, where the suspects opened fire on them. During the exchange of fire, one alleged criminal was fatally injured.

According to SSP Khairpur, the deceased was identified as Muhammad Ishaq alias Ishaqu, son of Gulzar Gopang. The official stated that the deceased absconder was wanted in numerous serious crimes, including murder, terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, robbery, theft, and police encounters.

A gun and cartridges were recovered from the possession of the deceased suspect. His four accomplices managed to flee the scene during the exchange of fire.
