Gold prices in the local bullion market saw a significant increase on Tuesday due to a positive trend in the global market, while silver prices remained stable.
According to market data, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 1,500, with the new price reaching Rs 526,262.
Similarly, the price of 24-karat 10-gram gold rose by Rs 1,286 to Rs 451,184. The price of 22-karat 10-gram gold also increased by Rs 1,179, reaching Rs 413,600.
This increase in the local market was in line with global market trends, where the price of gold closed at US$5035 after an increase of US$15.
In contrast to the volatile gold market, complete stability was observed in the silver sector. The prices of 24-karat silver per tola and per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs 8,615 and Rs 7,385, respectively.
Internationally, the price of silver also remained stable at US$81.40, confirming no change in the value of the white metal throughout the day.
