Authorities have successfully recovered stolen valuables worth lakhs of rupees, including gold, silver, and cash, after an inter-provincial police operation, arresting the main accused from Peshawar.
In a detailed statement issued today, police officials confirmed that the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sorah Police Station led the raid. The operation was conducted based on a secret tip-off and with the help of modern technology, which led investigators to the accused’s hideout.
The recovered items from the operation include 10 tolas of gold, 50 tolas of silver, and 6 lakh rupees in cash. The arrested individual has been identified as Hari Lal, who had allegedly fled to Peshawar after the incident.
The case pertains to a theft that occurred at the house of a local citizen, Mansha Ram, within the jurisdiction of the Sorah Police Station on February 16, 2026. A formal case was registered at the station immediately after the incident.
Following the arrest, the accused was presented before a magistrate’s court in Sorah. Law enforcement authorities have successfully obtained a three-day physical remand of the accused for further interrogation and to advance the ongoing investigation.
