Awami Tehreek’s demonstration in Nasirabad against skyrocketing oil prices and international aggression

A protest demonstration was held under the auspices of the Awami Tehreek on Monday due to the growing economic pressure from the continuous increase in petrol and diesel prices, in which residents strongly criticized the government’s inaction amid rising inflation.

The demonstration was attended by villagers, laborers, and political and social activists, led by Awami Tehreek leaders Comrade Muhammad Rafi Leghari, Atta Muhammad Koharo, Ghulam Abbas Kokar, and Muhammad Asif Koharo.

The procession started from Mandar Lakha village, culminating in a spirited protest on the Nasirabad-Warah Road where participants chanted slogans against the administration.

Addressing the gathering, the party leaders stated that the continuous increase in fuel prices has made life miserable for the common person. They maintained that due to the “storm of inflation,” securing two meals a day has become a major challenge for the poor and middle class, and accused the rulers of increasing the financial burden on the public instead of providing relief.

In addition to domestic concerns, the speakers strongly condemned the recent attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, and described these military actions as a serious threat to global peace.

The leaders demanded that global powers abandon their “war policies” and take steps to establish global harmony. They also demanded that the government provide immediate relief to the public by significantly reducing the prices of petroleum products.
