During an important meeting of the Wheat Procurement Committee in Thatta today strict instructions were issued for a transparent and merit-based wheat procurement campaign, along with directives for providing all possible facilities to farmers.
The meeting, held on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Thatta Sarmad Ali Bhagat, was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (I) Imran-ul-Haq in his office.
During deliberations, various aspects of the ongoing wheat procurement campaign were reviewed in detail. Concerned officials briefed the committee on the measures taken for wheat procurement, efforts to prevent hoarding, and facilities provided to farmers.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (I) Imran-ul-Haq further directed that the set targets should be met at all costs according to government policy, and no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.
The committee unanimously highlighted the importance of mutual cooperation and the implementation of a coherent strategy to ensure the success of wheat procurement efforts.
