Karachi:Chairman ACE Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Chairman Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, Sindh, has said that the construction sector is important for the development and employment of the province and the development of the construction sector can be kept active by identifying illegal constructions and corrupt elements.
He said this while addressing a meeting with a delegation of representatives of Association of Builders and Developers / ABAD at his office here today on Thursday. Deputy Director East Muhammad Ibrahim Memon, Deputy Director West Jam Zafarullah Dharijo, Chairman Abad Fayyaz Ilyas, officers of Anti-Corruption and other representatives of ABAD delegation were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the representatives of ABAD gave detailed information to the Chairman Anti-Corruption about their problems and issues. The Chairman Anti-Corruption Sindh Muhammad Iqbal Memon said: “It is on record in our department that the officers against whom complaints were received on the basis of evidence were not only removed from their posts but also action was taken against them,” he said. The Chairman Anti-Corruption urged the representatives of ABAD to submit their written complaints along with evidence to the department without any hesitation which will be acted upon immediately.
Memon hoped that the representatives of ABAD would not support the corrupt people in their ranks so that the society could be helped to eradicate corruption. In the meeting, Chairman ACE said that the department would also appoint a focal person for immediate action for redressing the grievances of persons associated with the construction sector.
