KARACHI:Adeel Abid played a brilliant 98-run knock to help Ravi Gymkhana record a convincing 109-run victory against Federal Sports in All Sindh Prof. Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Cricket Tournament here at KCCA Stadium.
Ravi Gymkhana batted first and put on board a competitive total of 269 runs before losing all of their wickets in 44.3 overs. Adeel Abid batted well for the side smashing seven boundaries and six sixes in his 98-run knock. Raheel Abdul Majeed also batted well and contributed 69 runs. Mohammad Areeb and Junaid picked three wickets each.
In its turn, Federal Sports was bundled out for 160 runs in 30 overs. Ammar Pasha was the top scorer for the side with 41 runs. Junaid Ali, Arsalan Masood and Ahsan Khan picked three wickets each for the winning side.
Earlier in the first match Fazal-ur-Rehman Sports overpowered Nazimabad Youngsters by six wickets at Nazimabad Gymkhana ground. Ejaz Ali Khan picked four wickets while Ibrahim Azeem scored 72 runs for the winning side.
In the second match of the day, OK Sports thrashed Cantt Sports by seven wickets at Landhi Gymkhana ground. Imran Sheikh played an unbeaten 67-run knock for the winners in the game.
In another game, Pak Mughal Cricket Club beat Memon Gymkhana by 82 runs at Pak Star ground.
