The recovery of a newborn’s body in the city has brought the number of such incidents this year to an alarming 28, highlighting a persistent and disturbing trend.
The latest incident occurred on Wednesday near a garbage dump at Jogi Mor in the Landhi area, where the remains of an infant were found.
The bodies found this year include those of newborns left abandoned in various public places in the city, including garbage dumps, drainage canals, and roadsides.
