AWARAN:Unidentified armed men opened fire on levies check post in Teertunj area of Awaran on Friday.
According to levies sources, unidentified armed men opened fire on Levies check post of Teetunj area in district Awaran of Balochistan. In retaliation, attackers managed to escape from the scene, however, no casualty has been reported.
Meanwhile, PDMA completed Marwar coal mine rescue operation by retrieving six bodies. According to PDMA sources, staff of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) completed the operation of retrieving miners trapped inside Kurd Coal mine of Marwar area of Quetta. The victims were identified as Abdul Rehman son Abdullah Jan resident of Quetta, Sardar Wali son of Amir Hamza resident of Chaman, Madad son of Nawab resident of Chaman, Abdul Raziq son of Bismillah resident of Chaman, Shafiq resident of Chaman and Mohammad Rahim resident of Muslim Bagh.
They were shifted to Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta and later handed over to heirs after fulfilling necessary medico-legal formalities. It is pertinent to mention that eight coal miners were trapped in a coal mine of Marwar, a suburb area of Quetta, the previous day. Two coal miners were rescued safely in the initial stage.
