Islamabad, February 21, 2023 (PPI-OT):In order to know the ongoing bilateral engagements between the Pakistan and Brazil and to discuss the process of enhancing parliamentary cooperation, the briefing session for the Executive Committee of Pakistan-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG)by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held today, 21st February, 2023 at 1300 hours at Parliament House, Islamabad.
Convener Pakistan-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) Rana Qasim Noon, MNA chaired the briefing session. Makhdoom Syed Sami Ul Hassan Gillani, MNA and Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari, MNA also attended the briefing session. Bilateral and trade relations and issues of mutual interest of both countries were briefed by the representative of the Ministry in detail.
Rana Qasim Noon, while emphasizing the importance of economic diplomacy also stressed the need to have increased people-to-people contacts in order to explore additional areas of cooperation. He also highlighted the need for betterment of trade relations between the two countries.
Makhdoom Syed Sami Ul Hassan Gillani, MNA expressed that Pakistan desires to further fortify its ties with the Federal Republic of Brazil. He said that Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) provides a platform for Parliamentary exchanges which help to further strengthen bilateral relations and continued coordination between the two countries. Sardar Riaz Mehmood Khan Mazari, MNA stated that both sides should have to look into ways and means to increase bilateral trade and investment for the mutual benefit of peoples of both the countries.
