QUETTA: Abdul Rahim Kakar, President, Markazi, Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Balochistan (registered) has said that business community would not accept the lockdown to be enforced by the government from May 8 to 16, 2021.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Friday, he said that if shops were closed by force, the business community would resist. On the occasion, Hazrat Ali Achakzai, Qayum Agha, Mir Yasin Mengal, Saadullah Achakzai, Abdul Khaliq Agha, Haji Zafar Kakar, Waris Agha, Jabbar Agha, Sheen Gul Achakzai, Naimatullah and others were also present.
Separately, Anjuman-e-Tajiran (Rahim Agha group) held a press conference on the lawn of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation on Friday. Rahim Agha, President, Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Balochistan said that traders and shopkeepers of Quetta were ready to go to prison and to be quarantined, but they would not accept lockdown.
He said that authorities of the provincial government as well as district government had been requested to finalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with the representative of the business community instead of enforcing lockdown, but no heed was paid to the proposal of Anjuman-e-Tajiran.
He said that not to talk of providing relief to the business community, the government had not even provided a single face mask to the shopkeepers. He said that shopkeepers would open their shops from May 8 to chand rat. On the occasion, Imran Tareen, General Secretary, Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Syed Haider Agha, Kaleemullah Kakar, Manzoor Agha and others were also present.
Meanwhile, Rehmatullah Kakar, President, Balochistan Awami Student Federation has said that services rendered by Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan for the progress and development of Balochistan cannot be denied. These views were expressed by him while addressing participants of a demonstration gathered outside the Press Club here on Friday in support of Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan.
