Two villagers kidnapped near Shikarpur

Shikarpur: Two more people, including a youngster and a boy, were kidnapped from the jurisdiction of Rustam Police Station on Tuesday.

According to a report, two relatives Muhammad Ramzan Bhayo, aged 22, and Shahid Hussain Bhayo, aged 10, went to Shikarpur from their village Haji Piyaro Khan Bhayo located near Rustam on a motorcycle. But did not returned to their home yet.

Today their motorcycle was found outside of the village. The heirs of youngsters said that their beloved Muhammad Ramzan Bhayo and Shahid Hussain Bhayo were kidnapped and such information was shared with the concerned police station but they had still not received any satisfactory response from police.

On the other hand, Rustam Police said that they got the information about missing of two youngsters and had started their work to search them. Further police investigation into the matter was in process. No FIR was registered till late evening.

Youth killed in armed clash near Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR: In an unfortunate incident within the jurisdiction of Dakhan Police Station on Monday, a heated argument between two rival groups of the Syed Community in the village of Wasul Khakhrani near Dakhan escalated into an armed clash. The confrontation resulted in the death of 17yearold Syed Aitbar Ali Shah, son of Muhammad Saleh Shah, who was fatally shot on the spot.

The motive behind the murder was reportedly a simple matter between two cousins that spiraled into a violent clash, ultimately claiming the life of the young Syed Aitbar Ali Shah. The local police transported the deceased's body to Government Hospital Madeji for Medico Legal formalities, conducting an autopsy before handing the remains over to the family.

As of late evening, no First Information Report (FIR) could be registered. The incident highlights the urgency of a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice and emphasizes the need for effective conflict resolution within communities to prevent such tragic outcomes.

Two killed in fire incident near Diplo

THARPARKAR: Two individuals were reportedly burnt to death after a truck overturned and caught fire on Diplo Naokot Road near Sindh’s Tharparkar village, rescue staff said on Sunday.

According to the details, a loader truck of a private contractor company – working in Thar – was transporting the roller which was overturned while taking a turn on Diplo Nokot Road near Sindh’s Tharparkar village.

The two individuals – identified as Rajab and Shakeel Pathan, residents of Hyderabad – who were present in the truck also caught fire and died on the spot as the local residence failed to extinguish the fire.

Sources within the company stated that the roller was transported from one site to another site during which the accident occurred.

According to the local Station House Officer (SHO), initially, it was suspected that three persons were trapped in the vehicle as the bodies were completely burned while the company confirmed that there were only two persons present in the vehicle.

FIA arrests five human smugglers from Gujranwala, Gujrat

GUJRANWALA: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested five accused for their involvement in human smuggling on Sunday.

The FIA has arrested Khizar Hayat, Farasat Ali, Shaukat Ali, Zain Ahmed and Hassan Tariq, accused of their involvement in human smuggling and keeping citizens in illegal captivity abroad and to extort money from their families.

Five human smuggling accused were arrested from various parts of Gujranwala and Gujrat districts, FIA officials said.

Accused Khizar Hayat received 1.13 million rupees from a citizen for sending him to abroad, FIA said. “Accomplices of the accused kept the man in forced captivity in Iran and subjected him to torture,” officials said.

“They shown videos of torture on the citizen to the family and extorted Rs 9,25,000 rupees more from them,” FIA said.

Another accused Farasat Ali has been arrested for extorting over 9.3 million rupees in connivance with others.

Six bandits gunned down by Lahore cops in encounter

LAHORE: Six dacoits were shot dead in an alleged encounter with the police in Iqbal Town area of Lahore on Saturday.

According to police, the dacoits entered a house in Iqbal Town in a bid to commit a robbery. The alert family wasted no time in informing the police through emergency call on 15. On seeing the police’s quick response, the dacoits panicked and opened fire on the police party.

In the intense ensuing battle, six dacoits were killed.

Lesco meter reader stabbed: A Lesco meter reader was seriously injured when he was stabbed in the line of duty in Shahdara Town near Lahore on Saturday.

A footage from closed-circuit TV that one Ali Imran got in argument with meter reader Kashif. He then picked up a knife from a shop and stabbed Kashif.

According to police, the accused injured the Kashif who came to perform his duty. The accused Ali Imran is in the custody of the Shahdara Town Police. Further investigation and action is being taken against the accused, said the police. Police said that LESCO staff had installed skimming meters to prevent electricity theft.

Lahore Metro bus crashes into parking bay

LAHORE: A fast-moving metro bus going from Shahdara to Gajumta collided with a bus bay at Kachheri station on Friday.

Reportedly, bus No. 33 of Vida Meza Company hit the bus bay of the station due to overspeeding on the metro track. As a result of the accident, the windscreen of the bus was severely damaged.

The body and bumper of the metro bus were also damaged as a result of the accident. The metro bus hit and also damaged the body of the station's infrastructure.

However, no passenger was injured during the accident.The Mass Transit Authority has started an investigation into the Metro bus accident.

Karachi police nab 2 suspects robbing in guise of law enforcers

KARACHI: Karachi police arrested two accused criminals from Surjani Town, who reportedly robbed people in the guise of police officials in the metropolis on Friday.

As per Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mehroz Ali’s statement, the arrested individuals allegedly belonged to a six-member robber gang, that robbed the people in the guise of police officers late at night.

During the investigation, the arrested individuals, identified as Arbaz and Junaid, confessed to being involved in robbing several houses in the metropolis.

The accused used to enter the houses at 4 am late in the night, tied up the family members, and left after looting the valuables from the house.

During the raid the police arrested the two suspects, leading to the recovery of a pistol, mobile phone, jewelry, stolen LCD, DVR, cash, and other valuables from their possession.

SSP further stated that a total of nine cases have been registered against the arrested criminals in Surjani town police station.
