Srinagar, February 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, tomorrow, against the shifting of Kashmiri detainees from Srinagar Central Jail to Jammu, staying of an FIR against Indian troops involved in Shopian killings by the Supreme Court of India and the brutal killing of a Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yousuf Nadeem.
Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The resistance leaders in a statement issued in Srinagar said that shifting of political inmates including Abdul Hameed Teeli, Tariq Ahmed, Raees Ahmed, Showkat Ahmed Hakeem, Muhammad Adil Zargar, Moomin Ahmed, Muhammad Ishaaq Paul and others from Srinagar Central Jail to various jails in Jammu was basically the so-called rulers’ revenge.
The leaders termed the recent Indian Supreme Court verdict on cancellation of FIR against occupational troops, shifting of inmates, killing of Yousuf Nadeem as glaring examples of tyranny unleashed by the Indian forces against the Kashmiris that had resulted in the killing of many innocents including a teenage girl, Saima.
