BADIN: Protest demonstrations were held in different cities of Sujawal district on the appeal of Sindh Action Committee against the arrest of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Muhaz (JSQM) chairman Sanaan Khan Qureshi and other workers.
In Mirpur Bathoro, the protest demonstration was led by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Party (JSQMP) chairman Nawaz Khan Zaunr, Arbab Bheel, STP District President Abdul Ghani Mallah, Noman Khan of Jeay Sindh Front, Sagar Parhyar of Awami Tehreek. The protest was attended political and social activists.
The leaders said that the old settlements of the locals were forcibly occupied by the private forces of Bahria Town and they were evicted and terrorized, which led to a peaceful call for protest and during the peaceful protests, police were sitting in containers outside Bahria Town, and after that, the peaceful protest was turned into violence by Sindh police.
They said hundreds of workers and passers-by have been arrested in connection with the incident. He said that illegal occupation of the Bahria Town is being suppressed through this cruelty and coercion. The leaders said that the arsonists should be exposed and punished while fake cases should be eliminated and political workers should be immediately released. The protests were also held in Sujawal, Jati, Daro area of the district. They demanded the release of the political workers who were arrested during the protest against Bahria Town Karachi.
