QUETTA:Sardar Saleh Muhammad Bhutani, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, has said, “Government believes in devolving the powers to grass root level so as to address the problems of the people at their threshold”.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said it was the success of incumbent provincial government to have arranged local bodies election in 32 districts of the province, adding that effective measures had been adopted by district administration and police to hold local bodies election in their respective districts in a peaceful way.

He said that enthusiasm of the people during local bodies election was worth seeing, adding that overall situation remained satisfactory in the areas where local bodies election were being held owing to the effective measures adopted by the incumbent provincial government.
