Islamabad, August 31, 2020 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Interior, Brig (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah and Saudi Ambassador H.E Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malki discussed mutual ties, COVID situation and Umrah Flights. -Saudi Ambassador paid his condolences to the Federal Minister over the loss of his two brothers, Hassan Ahmad Shah and Tariq Ahmad Shah. Islamabad- Federal Minister for Interior, Brig (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah met with the Saudi Ambassador H.E Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malki at the Ministry of Interior. The Ambassador condoled over the loss of Federal Minister’s brothers and prayed for the bereaved family. “It’s a huge loss and no one can imagine the pain you have endured” said the Ambassador.
Federal Minister for Interior thanked the ambassador for his kind words. The two discussed the matters of mutual cooperation and corona situation at both ends. Interior Minister, Ijaz Ahmad Shah asked about the current COVID-19 situation in Saudi Arabia and inquired if there were any plans of Umrah flights resuming anytime soon. The Ambassador replied that things were under control in Saudi Arabia as far as the virus is concerned and as soon as situation gets better, flights will resume.
The Ambassador and Minister agreed upon the point that the two countries share a strong bond. “It’s not just government to government interaction but the connection between people of two countries is also inseparable” the Minister said. The Ambassador thanked Minister for his valuable time and the meeting concluded with the promise that both ends will continue to work for further strengthening the bond between two countries.
