Foreign Relations NA Speaker Accuses India of Sponsoring Terrorism After Bondi Beach Attack

Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has alleged that the perpetrators of the deadly Bondi Beach attack have links to India, a development he claimed exposes New Delhi’s involvement in patronizing terrorism. While strongly condemning the assault in Sydney, the Speaker pointed to the incident as evidence of what he termed India’s threatening role in regional and global stability.

In a formal statement issued Thursday, Speaker Sadiq described the targeting of civilians as a brutal, inhumane, and utterly reprehensible act. He expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives and conveyed that the Parliament and people of Pakistan stand in complete solidarity with their Australian counterparts during this difficult time.

The NA Speaker asserted that attacks on public places are a clear violation of humanity, moral values, and international laws. He characterized the incident as a cowardly and unforgivable crime, stating that terrorism in any form is an assault on global peace.

Amid the condemnation, Mr. Sadiq paid tribute to Ahmed AlAhmed for his heroism in risking his own life to save civilians during the incident. He lauded his courage and selflessness, calling his actions a source of pride for humanity and the Muslim Ummah.

Elaborating on his allegations, the Speaker said the attackers’ purported connections to India once again reveal New Delhi’s negative and aggressive role. He claimed that this alleged support for extremist elements poses a significant threat to peace.

Highlighting Pakistan’s extensive history in combating extremism, Mr. Sadiq noted that the nation has been engaged in this struggle for over four decades, sacrificing more than 90,000 lives. He added that security forces continue operations against terrorist organizations, including AlKhawarij (FitnaeHindustan), which he alleged operate under Indian patronage.

The Speaker urged the international community to take serious notice of India’s alleged involvement and to implement effective measures against state sponsors of terrorism.

Reiterating Pakistan’s firm position, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq affirmed that the country condemns terrorism and extremism in all their forms without discrimination. He emphasized that this global challenge can only be countered through a collective, coordinated, and practical international strategy based on shared resolve.
